Climbers must be at least 15 years of age or accompanied by an adult to use the climbing wall. Climbers must also be able to pass a climbing skills certification test or be accompanied by a Community Center certified climber.

The climbing certification test consists of demonstration of proper harness wear, tying correctly using either a figure-eight rewoven or a double bowline and demonstration of proper belay techniques. Non-certified guests may accompany a certified climber, though they must still sign in with the front desk, sign a waiver and pay the open climb fee of $10.

Certifications cost $5. This is non-refundable. If you pass the certification, the $5 will be used as a 50% discounted fee towards your first visit. Click here for certification hours.

First Time Experience

$10 for 30 minutes of climbing with one of our trained rockwall staff. Hours are during certification hours.

Please return the cards when you leave.

  • In order to gain access to the wall, you must first pass a climbing certification test. In addition, you must also be at least 15 years of age or accompanied by an adult or companion of at least 15 years of age. Non-certified guests may accompany a certified climber, but they must still sign a waiver and pay the open climb fee of $10. The non-certified guest is allowed to climb only, not to belay. (Certifications cost $5.00. This is non-refundable. If you pass the certification test, the $5 will be used as a 50% discounted fee for your first visit.)

  • DO NOT STEP ON THE CLIMBING ROPES!

  • Ropes are to be used to belay climbers, not to swing on.

  • No climbing above the anchors.

  • No bouldering underneath the auto-belay while they are in use. Please do not boulder any higher than six feet off the ground.

  • While using the auto belay, be careful to stay in line with the anchor, and do not traverse too far to either side.

  • Please remember to replace the accessory cord to the auto belay when finished and gently let it raise to its top point.

  • Please be careful when exiting the climbing room to avoid tracking the rubber flooring into the gym.

  • If you discover a loose hold, please inform a staff member and they will attend to it.
